sephora vib sale + birthday haul

Jun. 16, 2026

Yes, this is from April but I’m still going to post it.

The Sephora VIB Sale just so happened to happen around my birthday, so I mean, what better excuse is there?! There really isn’t one. In fact, maybe it was a sign from the universe that hey, I know life’s been shit here’s a pick me up. Yeah, I’m going to go with that.

But really I was trying to get a hold of the LANEIGE lippie in Lavender Frosting and it was sold out so I refreshed Sephora and it was back in stock. I’m still going to go with my previous reasoning though, for whimsy reasons lol.

For someone who constantly (internally) complains about their skin not being how it was in their 20’s, I really don’t have a skincare routine. I figured now would be a good time to start one. Can I keep up with one? That’s a whole different question. But I figured… I should care. About my skin.

01. sephora korean skincare must haves

I did not realize half the brands I’ve been picking up have been Korean, and I hate that for myself. Is this like how I dislike when people don’t know Ube is from the Philippines? I mean, I guess Korean skincare is on a different scale but still, I’m sorry ya’ll. I’ll be better.

This set comes with a ton of starting off products; from cleansers to moisturizers to sunscreen (which I absolutely need to start getting into the habit of using), it comes with a sleeping mask, a toner mist as well as a pore tight toner and a hydrating serum (which I still have to figure out what exactly this does). This handy little set was $35 and honestly, the products are a pretty good size. They’re also the perfect size for travel.

So far I’ve only used the innisfree Green Tea Seed Hyaluronic Cream I haven’t used it long enough to really have an opinion and honestly right now my face is struggling with the on and off humidity + random scattered storms here in Texas. The fact that weather can throw my skin off is annoying. Def never had this problem when I lived in Florida and it was always humid.

02. innisfree green tea smoothing eye + lip serum for fine lines

Okay hear me out. While I might not have fine lines or wrinkles (yet) I figured now would be a good time to start preventing them. I grabbed this mostly for the smoothing eye aspect of it. I’ve had a few other innisfree products in the past but nothing that I loved. Hoping something in this haul will be it.

03. kayali eden sweet peach parfum

I’ve been obsessed with collecting the mini travel bottles of KAYALI perfumes. They’re so cute! And honestly, they last a really long time. I had originally gotten this scent in the travel tube and the Plush Pear in the mini bottle but ended up loving the peach one more so I got it in a bigger size. I love how sweet and light these perfumes are. They’re perfect for a quick spritz in the spring and summer without being overly done. Plus they’re not too expensive.

And yes, I have every single scent in a mini travel bottle.

04. gisou honey infused hydrating lip oil in pineapple pout

Gisou is another brand that I seem to collect. I had grabbed the one in coconut a few years ago and LOVED it. I’m always drawn to glitter lippies (I blame MAC for this) and always on the search for the next new fav of mine. I’m so glad I stumbled on this one because the taste + the glitter coverage is right where I want it. The flavors are a burst of yummy + they all have a hint of honey.

05. fenty guava goodies lip + butta drop set

I think I’ve had Fenty products before… I know I swore by their foundation years ago, and as much as I pick up these products in stores I don’t think I’ve bought enough to really have an opinion. I grabbed this because I’m a sucker for all things guava, I’m an island girl okay? I like my fruits. I was going to use this as my after shower body lotion because you can’t have enough after shower hydration and who doesn’t want to go to bed smelling like a literal snack? I know I do, for myself.

06. laneige glaze craze lip serum

When I say I’m obsessed with collecting these, I mean, I have a shit ton just all of the place. My vanity, my nightstand, my purse, my desk… they come out with so many LE scents and shades though that I love. I wish they’d add something to the perm line.

Like I said I was on the hunt for the lavender frosting shade and found it. I also picked up the black plum and the milky way one in this order. I don’t layer these ton top of lipsticks like I do with the Gisou ones, I like wearing these alone.

07. summer fridays lip butter balm in toasted marshmallow

I have a few of these that came in sets, I tried one of them then lost it, or my kiddos got a hold of it. I’m not entirely sure anymore. So I picked up another one in toasted marshmallow which obviously is a very summer scent/flavor. I don’t go camping, but I will toast the hell out of a marshmallow. At home. Excited to try this one honestly.

08. one/size point made 24hr gel eyeliner pencil

I have combination skin and eyeliner will run like it’s in a Disney marathon if I let it. So gel liners have always been my go to… despite how much it sucks to remove. I end up with raccoon eyes the next 2 days, ugh. Perhaps its a sign that I should try a cleansing balm instead of hoping my MAC makeup wipes are magical.

Currently swear by the gel pencil from Julep but really trying to move away from it. It’s been my HG since 2013 and I just… need something new, you know? Plus Patrick Starr is Filipino and hello?! A Filipino makeup creator at Sephora?! Uh, yes. I was gifted one of his palettes years ago for Christmas and I did grab his Wicked collection when the movie released.

The palettes are amazing. They’re smooth, buttery (why do we use this word to describe EYE SHADOW) and easyyyy to blend. If I can get away with blending it with my finger then it was totally worth the money cause sometimes I just don’t want to fuck with brushes esp if I’m in a hurry. The only other palette I got away with doing this with was an old school ELF one that I’m sure they don’t sell anymore but was my HG for years.

Oh I also needed to get my birthday gift. I look forward to this every year. I don’t know why, there hasn’t been anything really good in a long time but it’s just the idea of getting a birthday gift from one of your favorite stores that just feels.. nice.

I’m going to try better to keep up with posting my hauls, like I use to. I do miss doing this type of content and I really want to build this blog of lists up.

I hope you enjoy consuming this content as much as I enjoy making it. Let me know if you got anything from the Sephora VIB, I'm always up to finding new products to try!
